Yum Yum Bars

With the fresh-out-the-oven warm-gooey-sweetness of these little delights, there’s no other name for them than simply “Yum Yum Bars.” You’ll want to eat them for breakfast, afternoon snack, and even dessert. The recipe is super versatile too. You could mix it up with other candies, or health-ify them with dried fruit or flax seed. World, please meet my granola bar soulmate.

Yum Yum Bars
Makes 6-8 bars

2 and 1/2 cups quick rolled oats
1/2 cup Rice Krispies
1/4 cup coconut
1/2 cup mini M&M’s
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
Cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix together until well combined. I used my hands to make it go a little faster.

Coat a 9×9 pan with cooking spray. Press mixture into dish. Bake 18 – 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow to cool and slice into bars. I ate this whole pan. Just kidding. But I could’ve. Make these. Your family will thank you.

  1. I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and
entertaining, and without a doubt, you’ve hit
the nail on the head. The issue is an issue that too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy I stumbled across this during
my hunt for something concerning this.

A voice for the people. Comments make me happy.
