If you’re like us, this recipe helps with an ongoing conundrum that is rocking families across the nation. That’s right, one family member loves spice, and the other just can’t handle the heat. For this dish, Dave ate all the chiles and I just enjoyed the flavor cooked into the chicken through the adobo juices.
Orange Chipotle Chicken
1 teaspoon chile powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sesame oil
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/3 cup orange juice
2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
1 teaspoon orange zest
In a small bowl, combine chile powder, cumin, and salt. Season chicken with mixture and in a large skillet, cook in oil over medium heat. Mix orange juice and maple syrup together in a small bowl.
When chicken is nearly finished cooking, add juice mixture, chipotle chiles, and orange zest to pan.
Remove chicken from heat and serve.
