Hawaiian Ham Sliders

King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls are just the best bread ever. They’re so perfectly sweet and soft, I don’t care at all if there is nothing authentically Hawaiian about them. Their flavor makes them the perfect little bun for this oven-baked ham sandwich.

Hawaiian Ham Sliders
Makes 12 sliders

1 package King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 cup onion, chopped
1/2 pound ham, shaved
4 ounces baby swiss cheese, sliced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, Dijon, and butter. Allow to cook for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, slice rolls in half horizontally.

Set bottom slice of roll on a sheet of aluminum foil. Layer cooked onion mixture onto bread.

Layer ham, cheese, and top of rolls on to sandwich.

Wrap sandwiches into aluminum foil and set in 9×13 baking dish.

Bake for 20 minutes. Unwrap foil and slice bread into sandwiches.
