This recipe for banana bread uses applesauce and honey instead of oil and sugar.
Honey Banana Bread
Makes 1 loaf
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
A pinch of salt
1/2 cup sugar free applesauce
3/4 cup honey
3 over-ripe bananas, mashed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, combine applesauce, honey, eggs, and bananas. Mix together until very well blended.
Combine banana mixture with dry ingredients.
Pour batter into a 9×5 loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes.
