This trick I heard from a friend is a cure to my ongoing paranoia that the fruit I eat is not actually clean.
Create a mixture of 1 part vinegar (white or apple cider) and 10 parts water. Add berries to mixture and swirl around. Strain and rinse with water. To give you an idea, for 6 ounces of blackberries and 6 ounces of raspberries, I used 1/3 cup vinegar and 3 and 1/3 cup water.
The vinegar kills any bacteria or mold spores on the surface of the fruit. These berries lasted over a week!
